A series of two films on Delhi.
ROAD LESS TRAVELLED by Salma Siddique and Ahmad Danish Siddiqui
Focussing on the ridge area in North Delhi, the film examines the many eras enveloped in it. The corporeal remains of the past, the physical structures that condition much of our thinking, don’t stay unchanged in terms of their purpose. These become the very sites of continuity that legitimise change. We explore the memory of a city that resides in everyone and yet is so different.
ON THE VERGE… by Shruti Nagpal and Sonali Sharma
A Film on the threat to the delicate balance between the different bio - diversities that exist in the city of Delhi, against the backdrop of its metamorphosis into a concrete jungle. The film talks about the way the capital of India has changed in the last decade. With growing urbanisation, changing spaces and the demand for more housing, and transportation, the film questions whether urban bio - diversity and Delhi’s green belt stands a chance!
