The Pen and the Brush

We see material things in different forms and styles. The act of 'seeing' differs and the same thing conveys different meanings. The words that come out of that 'seeing' can be completely different. The other kind of 'seeing' is abstract seeing where abstract forms convey no meaning, but a visual image. This happens in both biological as well as created forms. This is where science and arts intermingle - when words get converted into pictures, they either become illustrations or pictures that generate internal vibrations.

Through Our Viewfinder

Through our Viewfinder is the story of a group of female sex workers and MSM (Men having Sex with Men) who have come together to learn the basics of filmmaking and narrate their own stories. The Film traces their journey as they go about making a film on the sexual identity of the gay community. Through the process, the stories begin to emerge. The hidden sexuality of the gays and their dual existence, their love lives, marriage, the inner world of the male sex workers and the irony that surrounds their lives. It is a look into their world through their viewfinder.
